Job description
Role Summary:
As a Mechanical Design Engineer you will play a pivotal role in developing and designing mechanical systems for various projects. You will collaborate with a team of experts to ensure the highest quality of design and implementation, focusing on energy efficiency and sustainability. This role demands a balance of technical expertise, creative problem-solving, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and other mechanical components for commercial, industrial, and educational facilities.
- Perform energy modeling and analyses to optimize system performance and efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on the design, development, and implementation of engineering projects.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical support throughout all phases of the project from conception to completion.
- Conduct site surveys, energy audits, and feasibility studies to identify opportunities for energy savings and system improvements.
- Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope.
- Provide technical guidance and support during the commissioning and testing of mechanical systems.
- Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mechanical engineering and energy efficiency.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in a consulting or engineering firm environment.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit software
- Experience iwth energy modeling tools is a plus
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems design and engineering principles.
- Knowledge of building codes, standards, and sustainability practices.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- PE license or EIT certification is preferred.
