Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Regional Margin & Portfolio Analyst to join our team in the wood coating industry. As a focal point for margin management activities, you will lead margin improvement initiatives, provide market and competitive intelligence, and support pricing strategies to achieve portfolio profitability targets. Key Responsibilities

Margin Management:
•  Support and monitor implementation of margin improvement strategies aligned with business objectives.
•  Provide guidance on price positioning and final price proposals, incorporating value pricing aspects by customer segment.
•  Monitor and analyze customer value drivers to optimize pricing strategies.

Portfolio Analysis:
•  Assist Product Management in analyzing and managing the product portfolio, ensuring active management of tail-end products.
•  Coordinate progress on action plans for margin improvement and price increases with sales and business consultants.
•  Support execution of (bi-) annual product portfolio complexity reduction sessions.

Market Intelligence:
•  Independently conduct market analysis and select leading indicator reviews for the Integrated Business Process (IBP).
•  Collect and analyze market pricing data, sales terms, and market pricing practices to inform pricing strategies.

Level of Autonomy

As a Regional Margin & Portfolio Analyst, you will have the autonomy to:
•  Independently conduct market analysis and select leading indicators for the IBP.
•  Update the RMPI index and set up reviews with the Commercial Team to review changes.

Job Requirements

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, or Chemistry.
Preferably 5-7 years of experience in a commercial environment, with experience in marketing and/or sales.
Work experience in sales or technical service is a plus.
Strong analytical skills with financial acumen.
Demonstrated performance orientation and ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, or Chemistry.
Experience in sales or technical service roles.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for these skills is:  $80,000 to $90,000.  This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.  This salary range may also be modified in the future.
