Title: Mechanical Engineering Manager - (OEM for Rubber Processing Solutions)
Location: Canton, OH 44705 - Relocation $$ Availabile
Salary: $105,000 - $120,000 + Bonus

Founded in 1991 we are a 35 employee leading manufacturer in Ohio of rubber processing & handling equipment that caters to the industrial US markets. Some of our primary machinery include batch-off machines, weighing & feeding, stackers, cooling drums and millroom accessories. We have provided hundreds of solutions to tire & rubber companies across the world. For this role we are targeting to hire a Mechanical Engineering Manager who is coming out of an OEM that can manage a team of 3 engineers + 2 others in India (who handle conversion of AutoCAD 2D to 3D designs).

What You Will Be Doing

1) Act as project manager for their jobs - we have kick off meetings after we sell a job - hand off the job from sales to engineering - from that point you would be responsible for making assignments, getting details, getting pre-engineering / layouts done, allocate resources to get the job done
2) Ability to hire/fire, work OT if needed, and if we did work w/ outside consulting company you would do that - do reviews, manage team & attend MS Teams meetings w/ designers - work w/ engineering team to make drawings & BOMs
3) Your team would do design work, make models, do assemblies, build materials and eventually help with the manuals (manuals for customers)
4) Responsible for keeping the software automation needed - AutoCAD & Solidworks & Inventor - keeping computers updated etc
5) Deal with clients like Bridgestone, Michelin etc - there's enough variety of work to keep you happy - method of designing is changing with Ai & Solidworks etc - you would keep us abreast on how designs are made, safety, automation, information etc

What You Need for this Position

1) Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related field)
2) 5+ years as a mechanical engineer working at an OEM
3) 2+ years of supervisory / management experience dealing with small teams
4) AutoCAD and/or Solidworks & Inventor experience
5) Exposure to the rubber industry is very helpful
