Job description

Under the guidance of the Patient Access Manager, the Patient Access Supervisor, Registration and Financial Counseling is responsible for planning, coordinating and managing the staff of the Patient Access registration areas including all registration and financial counseling functions. Responsibilities include direct supervision and scheduling of all patient access registration, and financial counseling staff. Provides direction, guidance and mentors all staff and implements policies and procedures to ensure compliance and consistency of application. Works directly with patients physicians and department leaders to provide information and resolve issues in a highly responsive manner.

Associates Degreee in a business related field or equivalent experience

Excellent computer skills with intermediate or better use of Excel (i.e. sorting, pivot tables, graphs, etc.) and other reporting/analytical tools including Visio. Ability to extract data from various software systems. Detailed knowledge of system tools and functionality used to perform patient access functions

Two (2) years hospital Access department and/or revenue cycle experience in a hospital or large physician group, minimum
