Gulfport Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility):

Located on the beautiful MS Gulf Coast Gulfport Behavioral Health System is a 90-bed psychiatric hospital offering child, adolescent, adult, substance abuse, and military service behavioral health programs and treatment services.  The hospital offers inpatient and outpatient services for those seeking treatment for mental illness.

Position Summary:

The Director of the Business Office is an essential member of the senior leadership team and responsible for managing all aspects of billing and collecting patient accounts, verification of insurance, cash posting and month end reports. This position will provide direction to business office staff including Financial Counseling, Billing, Collections and Data Entry.  The Director reports to the Chief Financial Officer and works to achieve facility goals for AR days and Collections.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:  Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field preferred.

Experience:  A minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an office director or supervisor in a health related setting.  Behavioral health experience preferred.  Knowledge of Joint Commission standards; understanding of hospital business office policies and procedures and managed care contracts.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to work with all levels of staff and management.

Licensure:  Must have a valid driver's license.
