- OBJECTIVE JOB OVERVIEW
Radiant is a publicly traded, third party logistics company providing technology-enabled global transportation and value added logistics solutions. We are looking to hire a knowledgeable driver at our Mendota Heights, MN station and is familiar with the geographical area. We are looking for a driver who can perform a variety of routine and complex transportation work in driving and coordinating transportation plans in support of the station. The salary range for this position is $20-$25 with eligibility for quarterly bonuses. Upon a full time work schedule, the driver will be eligible for full time benefits as well.
Job duties may be added or taken away due to operational/ business needs and requirements.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES - Operate company-owned and leased truck to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
- Operate truck for delivery and pickup of goods
- Provide outstanding customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- May plan route to insure most economical use of time and equipment
- Maintain and protect all property in excellent condition
- Obey traffic laws and follow established traffic and transportation procedures
- Read maps and follow written or verbal geographic directions
- Load and unload trucks.
- Report any mechanical problems encountered with vehicles
- Report delays, accidents or other traffic and transportation situations
- Other duties and assignments as required.
- KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-year of relevant experience
- Clean driving record
- Knowledge of Greater Twin Cities geography.
- Dedicated commitment to providing superior, timely internal and external customer service.
- Team cooperation and respect is required.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Accurate and detail-oriented.
Work Schedule - Set working hours of 8 hours per day with requisite meal and rest breaks.
- Consistently report to work on time, prepared to perform required duties.
- Ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent.
Work Environment - Usually moderate noise level.
- Climate controlled office environment.
- Climate controlled vehicle
- Outside weather conditions including extreme heat and cold.
Physical Demands - Regular physical demands: Walk; sit; use hands to handle or feel; use fingers for keyboarding; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Frequent physical demands: stand, kneel, crouch or crawl. Lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
