Safety Manager
Established in Raleigh, NC in 1971, Piedmont Service Group is a privately held energy efficiency and facilities services company focused exclusively on helping commercial, industrial, institutional, and government organizations operate and maintain their buildings in a safe, healthy, and efficient manner. Our offices located across Virginia and the Carolinas allow us to serve our clients with a team of local accredited and licensed professionals.
We are currently looking for a Safety Manager to join our team.
Job Summary: Assist with the management of the EHS program at the field level for our 8 Branches in the NC, SC and VA area. This would include documented site visits, training and coaching of the field staff. You would report to the Safety Director.
Location: May work in the Raleigh or Greensboro locations.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a safety related field or this may be substituted for 5 years experience and a certification such as CHST or OHST. (The CSP or SMS would obviously be acceptable)
- 5+ years experience in a Full-Time Safety Professional role.
- Having an OSHA 510 or OSHA 500 is a plus.
- Experience within the Construction Industry is a must.
- Must have at least an OSHA 30 hour for construction.
- Experience within General Industry is a plus.
- Must be FA/CPR/AED certified
- CPR instructor is a plus.
- Must possess exemplary communication skills - both oral and written
- Vibrant, optimistic, energetic positive person who wants to makes things happen.
- Team player that can work with the leadership team, all personnel, and interact well with clients.
- Must not only be able to recognize hazards, but be able to find solutions.
- Valid Driver's License and MVR check.
- Criminal Justice Background Check (state and federal)

Responsibilities:
- On-site Inspections and Safety Audits
- Ensure project safety adherence, performance and compliance.
- Review project site forms and data.
- Help all to perform JHA and Safety Observations.
- Ensures all subcontractors are following OSHA and PSG policies at a minimum.
- Monitor the performance of safety critical tasks.
- Work with the Contractor to ensure proper safety best practices are being implemented.
- Represent the Contractor's best interest related to site health and safety at all times.
- Follows up on safety incidents, near misses and conduct investigations.
- Conduct Safety Orientation for personnel as needed.
- Able to train in areas such as Forklift, Scissor lifts, Fall protection.
