The Role : Principal Consulting - Energy Analytics

The Impact: A Consulting Principal, Energy Analytics is responsible for delivering advanced analytics components of consulting projects and collaborating with other consultants and data scientists. This position contributes in client facing work and meetings, playing a key role in developing consulting deliverables and design and implementation of analytic solutions.

Responsibilities: - Project Management
- Manage workstreams as part of projects and ensure deliverable quality
- Support project manager in preparing for discussions
- Coordinate efforts across the consulting and data science teams
- Business Development
- Support proposal writing
- Contribute to offering collateral (quals, capability overviews, frameworks)
- Collaborate with research teams on thought leadership content
- Consulting
- Hands on development of high quality consulting deliverables
- Interpret analytics and contextualize results
- Summarize complex concepts and analysis
- Analytics
- Oversee design of analytic solutions and data science methodologies
- Provide industry subject matter expertise to data team members
- Test and oversee efficacy of analytic solutions for client problems
- Translate analytic concepts into client ready content
What We're Looking For :
- 3-4+ years of energy consulting, strategic planning, industry, or analytics experience with energy related experience
- Prior management consulting or strategic advisory experience strongly preferred
- Flawless verbal and written communication in English
- A bachelor or master's degree (or equivalent degree) in economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science or energy related technical field
- Experience with data analytics technologies (e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Spotfire, Python/R, Databricks, etc.)
- Development and delivery of analytic solutions, using data driven methods, applied to business or industrial problems
- Experienced with analytic methods (e.g. statistics, data science, econometrics, ML/AI, etc.)
- Must be capable of not only seeing the 'big picture' and communicating a compelling story, but also delving into its technical details to highlight key elements
- A keen attention to details and highly effective organization and prioritization skills, including the ability to stay on task and maintain focus in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
- Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision, but also to understand the needs of other consultants and researchers, and the timing of those needs
Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only): S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position starting at $90,000 USD . Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan. This role is not eligible for additional compensation such as an annual incentive bonus or sales commission plan. This role is eligible to receive additional S&P Global benefits.
