Job Overview:
We are looking for a Sales Support Specialist join our Sales team. The Sales Support Specialist will be responsible for working with the core sales team (CST) to develop customer proposals that place Epes in a superior position to win business with prospective customers. This position will standardize the utilization of the Epes brand and associated marketing collateral. On sales pursuits, this person will be responsible for ensuring all critical information and data is collected and effectively captured in the proposal document. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for training sales team members on the internal process and sales tools available.
Qualifications:
- BS or BA Degree preferred
- Minimum two years of experience designing sales proposals. Must be seen as a subject matter expert on proposal pitch design and thoroughly familiar with all software tools. Understands the various ways a transportation solution can be presented and can anticipate what visual format will work best for a client.
- Attention to detail and proven success in working in a fast-paced environment is required.
- Minimum 2 years proven truckload sales and/or operations experience preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
- Ability to integrate and analyze data.
- Ability to work on confidential matters.
- Ability to plan and organize workload; and work with interruptions; meet deadlines
- Ability to interact, in a professional manner, with employees, vendors and customers
- Willingness to learn and accept responsibility
- Travel in job is minimal
Responsibilities:
- Creating Compelling Presentations: Accountable for pulling all parts of the sales strategy/solution into a visually engaging PowerPoint storyboard that best reflects the Epes brand. This includes completing responses for RFP/RFI's as well as creating collateral for Customer reviews/meetings. Assist in preparation of Executive presentations for Senior Leadership meetings.
- Training: Train new sales team members on the sales support process and how to best leverage available sales tools.
- Monthly Reporting: Interface with VPs to pull sales data together and provide summary of findings to sales leadership and team.
- VIP Visits: Engage with sales leadership and key customer contacts to understand needs to facilitate a customized VIP visit to an Epes location.
