1. Installs fence such as chain link, wood, vinyl, ornamental iron, and farm on a daily basis.

2. Works closely with Project Managers to ensure the project is on time and completed to specifications.

3. Uses welder, digging equipment, bobcat, hand and power tools to complete installation jobs.

JOB DUTIES

• Follows all Pacific Fence and Wire’s safety policies and practices. Ensures that all safety concerns are reported immediately to a manager or member of the Safety Committee. Instills a safe work environment in their own practices and in others.

• Works closely with customer to meet specific need and concerns.

• Reads drawings of fence specifications and materials lists.

• Loads install trucks with required materials for each job.

• May occasionally work out of town on projects, as needed. This might require overnight travel.

• Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

• Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

• Displays excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers and coworkers including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.

• Respectfully takes direction from manager.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervises the day to day work of the Install Helpers in tandem with the Install Project Manager and Installation Manager. Plans, assigns, and directs work. May assist in providing feedback to appraise performance; reward and discipline employees and resolving problems. Ensures that employees in the Install Department are practicing excellent safety habits including proper lifting techniques and material handling and reports safety concerns to the Install Project Manager or Installation Manager.

EVP:

Dayshift Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm OT available.

$25-32/hr DOE

Prevailing wage on some job sites

Installation, framing, hand and power tools, tape measure, wood cutting, fence installation, leveling, digging, trenching, driving, hammer, nails

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to understand fence material specifications and working knowledge of the product preferred.
