Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Welder will be responsible for performing skilled welding work in the fabrication and repair of metal hoses.
We have three shifts:
- 1st Shift: 7:00AM - 5:30PM, Monday-Thursday
- 3rd Shift: 8:30PM - 7:000AM, Monday-Thursday
- Weekend Shift: 6:00AM - 6:30PM, Friday-Sunday
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITES
- Read and interpret blueprints and work orders.
- Verify orders for correct quantity and hose length
- Perform inspection for correct hose and appropriate fittings
- Determine correct alloy to be applied to all welds
- Perform skilled welding -following standardized procedure for AMP and RPM
- Learn job related material primarily through oral instruction and observation
- Visually inspect completed welds to determine compliance with standards. Check quality and appearance of finished hose.
- Make appropriate repairs to assemblies that do not meet standards
- Maintain daily production logs
- Work safely without presenting a direct threat to self and others.
- Work cooperatively and jointly to provide a quality product.
- Ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to understand and follow English instructions
- Basic welding experience required
- Manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
- Good basic math skills
- Have knowledge of standard tools, material and practices of welding trades
- Have knowledge of hose and fittings

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTES
- Must be able to work a minimum 40 hours per week
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to sit for 80 percent of the day
- Good hand and eye coordination
- Must be able to bend, squat, twist, and kneel
- Ability to use hand and power tools
