Job description

CGRC’s Accounting Manager is an integral member of the Finance team. The Accounting Manager is responsible for the General Ledger accounting functions, including Accounts Payable & Payroll. This role manages the organization’s financial accounts, payroll, budget, cash receipts and financial assets and plans & directs the accounting activities of the department.

Additional key responsibilities include:

• Manage the Accounting team members & team’s job functions.
• Preparation of monthly financial statements including variance reports with explanations for variance to budget.
• Establish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
• Preparation of Board summary documents, including explanation of variance and changes.
• Balance Sheet account analysis completion including evidence of review with supporting documentation.
• Provide financial analysis. 
• Reconcile subsidiary ledgers to associated G/L accounts, including A/P, A/R, & Payroll accounts.
• Oversight of Cash Flow to ensure accuracy and posting to correct balance sheet accounts. 
• Assist with fiscal related audits.
• Collaborate with Controller/CFO to ensure all agency financial policies and procedures are current, assuring accuracy in expense reporting and in line with Accounting best practices.
• Meet regularly with Controller & CFO to review organization operations and activities and assist in special projects as needed.
