Job description
Kelly Services is actively recruiting for a Contract Technician for a Long Term Contract opportunity in Midland, MI.
The contract technician will assist in R&D lab work for the CASE business segment of the Emulsion Polymers business. They will generate reliable and high-quality data used for decision making by TS&D engineers and customers. Utilize good laboratory practices to generate reliable and quality data, document scientific findings, and interpret and analyze results. They will also maintain and calibrate lab equipment, working safely with hazardous and non-hazardous materials. They should be able to acquire new skills quickly while working on urgent and multiple tasks.
Cross training in the pilot coater is also a possibility depending on utilization of the application labs. This will consist of assisting the Midland pilot coater team to carry out successful customer trials by reliably preparing formulations, operating pilot coating and finishing equipment.
An important aspect of this job is to integrate well into a diverse, multicultural team. Effective communication between the lab staff and the TS&D engineers is a key requirement.
Must be able to lift up to OSHA limit of 50 lbs. without difficulty.
