Job description

As a Crane Operator at Concrete Strategies, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks related to crane operations, including job site assessments, assembly/disassembly, load chart calculations, and the safe execution of hoisting operations. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining our crane equipment, ensuring it operates optimally and safely. We value experienced applicants with a preference for those holding a current CDL.

Key Responsibilities:

• Job Site Evaluations: Conduct thorough job site assessments to determine the safest and most efficient crane operation methods.
• Assembly/Disassembly: Skillfully assemble and disassemble cranes according to established procedures.
• Load Chart Calculations: Calculate load charts to ensure safe and precise lifting and positioning of materials.
• Crane Operations: Proficiently handle all crane functions, configurations, and operations with a focus on safety.
• Computer Setup: Set up computer systems for lattice boom crawler cranes as needed.
• Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain crane equipment as follows:
  • Inspect cables and braking mechanisms for wear and replace cables when necessary.
  • Tighten all bolted connections on a routine basis.
  • Inspect hydraulic lines for wear and leakage regularly.
  • Follow manufacturer-recommended maintenance requirements for equipment.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of relevant operator experience.
• Ability to safely operate equipment. Knowledge of loads/rigging/operating. 
• Overhead gantry crane experience preferred 
• NCCCO appropriate Crane Certification is required (OVD).
• Current DOT Medical Exam certification is will be required.
• Experience with RT/AT hydraulic cranes is preferred.
• Preference will be given to applicants with a current CDL.
