Job SummaryThe HR Generalist will support a superior human resources experience for all Keating & Associates employees from the first candidate contact to ongoing culture engagement. You will oversee recruiting, employee onboarding and offboarding processes, as well as collaborate on administration of all employee benefits and implementation of culture-aligned engagement initiatives throughout Keating. You will collaborate with supervisors on employee related experiences while maintaining impartiality as an HR representative. This is a non-exempt position located onsite at the Manhattan, KS office.
The HR Generalist will report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and communicate current knowledge of organization structure, personnel policies, and federal, state, and local laws regarding employment practices in conjunction with our supervisors and leadership team.
Enroll and administer employee benefits and payroll updates and changes in collaboration with our payroll team and our benefits broker.
Responsible for administering short-term disability, FMLA, workers compensation, unemployment, COBRA, and ADA accommodations and other benefits as needed.
Manage employee data and documentation as well as utilize the HRIS systems to the company’s recordkeeping and management advantage.
Manage the recruiting process to include posting jobs, filtering applications, pre-screening candidates, scheduling interviews, sending offer letters, etc.
Work closely with broker consultants and operations on annual renewals and cost analysis of company benefits.
Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes and execution, including completing the HR-related tasks associated with each.
Collaborate with supervisors, being a resource to supervisors through education on HR compliance and employee meetings.
Maintain confidentiality of private and employee information that you encounter in the course of your duties.
Implement strategy for employee engagement initiatives.
Perform compensation research and make recommendations to direct supervisor.
Administer and periodically create satisfaction surveys, onboarding surveys, exit interviews, and all other feedback communication as needed.
Responsible for all other duties as assigned.
Desired skills include, but are not limited to:
Required - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
Advanced HR Certification
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices.
Strong attention to detail, follow through on tasks, and process building skills
Successful interviewing skills
Able to exercise independent judgment and maintain ethics
Deliver clear, effective communication across all mediums
Able to practice high level of confidentiality
Personable, service oriented, and collaborative
Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office environment.
