The Technical Ceramics business of Morgan Advanced Materials engineers high performance functional and structural ceramic materials, components and sub-assemblies to address customer-specific technical challenges.

The Warehouse Manager role will oversee Shipping and Inventory functions within the Wilkes Barre, PA location. Traffic, Cycle Counting and Material Movements and will report to the Supply Chain Manager. The role will support the Warehouse driving best practice sharing, KPI alignment, technology standardization and manpower support across the Wilkes Barre and Ohio locations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead strategy, network expansion and execution of product storage, material handling, receiving, and shipping operations across manufacturing and warehouse facilities.
- Maintaining a strong and flexible department's structure while building and overseeing KPI's, process and system improvement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Creative problem solving in an environment where priorities are in constant flux.
- Monitor the prompt processing of orders to customers to ensure that customers’ order fulfilment and shipment requirements are met or exceeded
- Develop and lead safe practices for material handling, shipping and receiving of all materials including hazardous materials.
- Working closely with Supply Planning to implement optimum inventory levels for inventory categories (Raw, WIP, Sub, Finished).
- Responsible for overall inventory control including processes like daily cycle counting through Infor CSI with a clear roadmap in place of fully automating inventory reporting through DSI devices.
- Responsible for the layout, equipment & tooling , and process optimization on site for Warehouse Management.
- Responsible for personnel hiring, development and meeting performance expectations.
- Evolve and maintain standard operating procedures for processes and systems. Provide recommendations for operational improvements. By using the available data, suggests and implements plans of action to control or improve the manufacturing process in line with the company’s strategic initiatives .
- Financial reporting of material transactions along the month and inventory cycle count outcomes
- Manage employees in a safe, ethical and efficient way within warehousing, outside storage, packaging, and all in-/outbound shipments.
- Execute and enhance shipping related customer policies, e.g. expedite and or same day shipments.
- Actively support and foster a culture of inclusion.

Education and Experience - Minimum level of education and experience required
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or Operations are strongly preferred
- 5 years of production / warehouse management experience in a fast paced, every changing environment
- Strong JDE Oracle or any other ERP abilities preferred
- Technology champion for warehouse related systems and device enhancements
- 3 – 4 years of proven experience managing inventory accuracy and physical flow
- Outstanding people skills in mentoring, coaching, motivation, performance management and employee relations
- Exceptional analytical, root-cause-analysis, and decision-making abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities including presentation skills with recommendation and data
- Drive continuous improvement and embrace fully Morgan’s Lean culture
- Experience in project management, lean and continuous improvement strongly preferred
- CSCP or CLTD (APICS) or related credentials preferred
