ABOUT THE POSITION
This full-time role provides onsite support for our customer, Panasonic Energy of North America (PENA), and their cylindrical lithium-ion cells manufacturing operation inside the TE SLA Giga Factory1 in Sparks, NV. This position is responsible for customer procurement and for investigating opportunities for sales expansion. MISUMI has become PENA’s #1 supplier for factory automation components. Your support will include the following:
Procurement Support
- Obtain and respond to customer requirements via phone, e-mail or in person, with a sense of urgency while focusing on quality, cost, and time.
- Generate quotes based on communicated customer requirements making sure they are the best option in terms of quality, cost, and time to the customer.
- Manage and track customer shipments with external suppliers or internal departments to ensure they are on time or ahead of the committed delivery date.
- Maintain constant communication with the customer, internal departments or with external suppliers, notifying them of changes or updated delivery information.
- Follow-up with a high sense of urgency when a customer claim is generated leading to a solution.
- Update and register products towards the customer in internal systems as well as apply any applicable discounts.
- Provide customer support that exceeds customer expectations and needs.
Sales and Partnership Expansion - Research and understand the requirements and demand of each customer area.
- Based on the need or requirement of the customer, provide a quality service, focused on each requirement, offering support and information appropriate to the customer's requirement. to increase sales and strengthen the relationship.
- Contact potential users, offer and support, negotiating directly with the customer & partnership.
Additional Responsibilities - Provide support to fill the products that are handled in the component vending machine, preventing it from generating a lack of material.
- Maintain the database of vending machine inventories and provide usage data as requested by the customer.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU - Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Highly proficient and consummately professional in business email and all forms of communications.
- Bilingual English and either Spanish or Japanese.
- Past sales and/or procurement experience.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Outstanding ability establishing, building, and maintaining customer relationships.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.).
