Job description
The State College Area School District's Department of Gifted Services and Learning Enrichment is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Gifted Support Teacher. This teacher will be responsible for the following:
- Organizing, implementing, and supporting modified instructional strategies and content to meet the needs of gifted learners in elementary and/or secondary programs.
- Preparing, writing, organizing, meeting, implementing, and evaluating gifted individualized educational plans.
- Participating in the Gifted Multi-Disciplinary Evaluation Process for potentially gifted students.
- Collaborating with general education teachers to support enrichment programming in the general education classroom.
The District seeks dynamic, energetic educators who are student-focused and have knowledge of both theory and practice specific to the education of K-12 learners. Organizational and collaborative skills are critical to success in this position.
