Job description
The Traveling Superintendent will be responsible for managing, and overseeing the daily on-site operations of multiple construction projects. This position requires extensive travel and involves frequent visits to multiple job sites, as necessary. The Traveling Superintendent will oversee projects in all phases of construction from pre-construction through completion.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with safety regulations and design specifications.
- Provide daily on-site supervision, monitoring, and coordination of all subcontractors and construction staff.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project reports including daily logs, labor reports, progress photos, punch lists, and other documentation.
- Lead project meetings onsite and coordinate with offsite staff.
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field
- 5+ years of experience in project management and construction management
- A proven track record of successful management of commercial construction projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Must be able to travel extensively
