THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION BUT CANDIDATE MUST LIVE IN MINNESOTA
The Information Technology (IT) Manager manages the Information Technology department ensuring efficient and seamless day-to-day operation of all technologies across Ampact. This role is responsible for leading the Ampact IT staff, managing IT projects, managing IT vendor performance, serving as a liaison between IT and the organization, and ensuring exceptional customer service and support to all users.
- Develops and executes IT strategies in conjunction with the Sr. Director of IT, and in alignment with the organization's goals, ensuring future scalability, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Leads and manages IT staff, responsible for hiring staff, providing clear communication, direction, prioritization of work, performance management and professional development.
- Serve s as the main point of contact between IT and internal users. Understand s the technological needs of various departments and end users , recommends solutions that align with Ampact’s strategic direction and mission .
- Lead s , coordinate s and supervise s IT related projects , ensur ing appropriate communication s , stakeholder engagement, training and task management through project management to completion .
- Manages the Help D esk ticketing system, ensure s all IT issues are addressed in a timely and effective manner. Monitor metrics for responsiveness and user satisfaction.
- Vendor management, m aintain ing and manag ing relationships with external IT vendors and service providers. Ensur ing timely delivery of products or solutions. In conjunction with Sr. Director of IT , negotiate s contracts and manage s vendor performance to meet Ampact’s requirements.
- T echnical p roblem s olving , t roubleshoot ing, and escalat ing complex hardware, software, and network issues to resolution.
- Provide s project management and coordination to multiple IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. Coordinate s with other departments for cross-functional projects .
- Provides excellent c ustomer s ervice , ensuring that all IT team member interactions are characterized by professionalism, efficiency, and a user-first approach.
- Identif ies and recommend s enhancements to IT solutions based on feedback .
- Review s third party IT contracts and proposed statements of work for accuracy .
- Develop s and maintain s internal processes for inventory and software license management .
- Recommend s innovative solutions that enhance user experience .
Minimum Education
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Information Technology or Computer Science
- Microsoft certifications a plus
Minimum Experience
- 3+ years implementing, supporting, and managing IT infrastructure
- 2+ years staff supervi sory experience
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure required
- Experience managing various line s of business applications
- Experience managing Cloud -based infrastructure
- D atabase administration proficiency
- Project management or coordination experience is a p referred
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Established e xperience in driving research to use technology to meet business needs
- Recognized as h ighly motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
- Ability to effectively prioritize and drive IT delive rables in a quickly evolving organization
- Experience creating a n inclusive , team- oriented and collaborative environment
- Excellent written, oral, a n d interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to clearly and concisely present technical ideas using tactics that are easily understood by everyone in the organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective ability to communicate confidently and professionally in person and virtually with system users, colleagues, and partners at all levels of the organization and levels of technical knowledge
