Job description
ENDRA is on the verge of commercializing ground breaking technology designed to provide clinicians with sensitive and reliable assessment of liver fat content. As we expand our research collaborations with leading sites in Europe and the US, we are looking to hire an Advanced Application Scientist for Thermo Acoustic Enhanced UltraSound (TAEUS) in our Ann Arbor, Michigan office.
Summary: Working with the advanced technology team to develop and validate clinical applications for ENDRA technologies. Training, support, and management of clinical sites with the objective of developing clinical scientific peer reviewed manuscripts and support of regulatory activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Support:
- work with clinical collaborator sites to define study protocols, obtain Investigational Review Board submissions, and manage clinical research agreements
- work with clinical sites to ensure study goals and objectives are met, and support the generation of scientific publications and technical presentations at clinical meetings.
- travel to the site on mutually agreed schedule and will be present for initial installation and hands-on training of the TAEUS system
- Additional support will be provided on a routine basis using telephone, email, and remote internet connections
Quality Assurance:
- Assist software developers with design and methodology validation.
- Contribute to the reliability and usability testing, and validation of clinical software applications.
- Provide technical and voice-of-customer feedback to the advanced technology team, product development, and software developers, in order to improve quality and develop new features.
Sales and Marketing Support:
- Assist with the development and production of web content, application notes, white papers, proof-of-concept documentation, and clinical customer ready presentations.
- Participate in sales presentations and technology demonstrations
- Represent company and products at scientific conferences and workshops

Education/Experience: - Bachelor’s of science in a science, engineering or equivalent medical technology training or on-the-job experience.
- MS or PhD preferred with publications and demonstrated understanding of: experimental and clinical study design, and statistical analysis.
- Ability to research and interpret clinical research publications
- Experience with imaging systems, diagnostic devices, and the management of clinical research studies is preferred.
- Experience with external clinical evaluation trials of new medical devices / imaging technology is desired.
- To be effective in the role, strong customer-facing and communication skills are essential.
Travel: The job requires regular overnight travel for customer presentations, training, and marketing support. Initially, in the first year or two, the successful candidate will be required to travel internationally possibly for up to two weeks at a time. Valid passport and "global brains" are mandatory and either French, German, Spanish or Italian language skills are highly desirable.
The position is based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and requires U.S. work authorization.
