Local residential HVAC company is hiring for an Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting controls.

Job Title: Accounting Manager
Compensation: $70,000 to $90,000 per year
Pay Type: Salary
Work Hours : 7:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday
Work Type: Full time
Location: Chicago, IL
What you will be doing / Essential Job Duties:
- ADP Payroll Weekly
- Accounts Payable
- Billing
- Audit invoices
- Bank reconciliation
- Resolve client billing issues
- Monthly Financial statements
- Adherence to accounting policies and other company policies and procedures
- Close the books monthly
- Promptly process necessary taxes and fees
- Assist with audits
- Reconcile all Balance Sheet accounts at month end and update General Ledger
- Monthly and annual general journal entries as needed
- Manage Work-In-Progress accounting
- Prepare work papers annually for CPA
- Reconcile accounts
- Daily work in QuickBooks Online & Field Edge
Required Qualifications :
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- 7 + years relevant experience in accounting
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledgers
- Payroll experience including commission and 401k contributions
- Monthly reports / reconciliations
- Job costing experience (specifically man hours per job, per day and materials)
- P&L reports and analysis
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online
- CRM/ ERP data base experience
- Field Edge experience desired
- Advanced in Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Office, Word & Outlook experience
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Strong organization, multi-tasking, and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- HVAC or Construction industry experience
