Residential Counselor

What you'll do
- Provide culturally competent service delivery
- Assist with skills training and daily living responsibilities
- Uphold ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics
- Effectively engage all client populations
- Work closely with the residential nurse, supervisor and director in implementation of adult individualized rehabilitation treatment goals
- Collaborate with Acenda team members and external supports to enhance independence.

What you'll bring to the team
- A High school diploma or equivalent, plus four years of related mental health experience - may be substituted for a degree
- Preferred is a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in mental health, health, or other appropriate human services-related discipline with knowledge of and experience with chronic mentally ill adult population
- Energy and a passion to assist our adults in a residential setting
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license, use of an insured vehicle and an acceptable driving record
- Professionalism and a commitment to excellence in care
