ORGANIZATION AND MISSION

POSITION SUMMARY

Literacy Connects Evaluation Manager works across programs and departments playing a key role in organizational impact oversight. From assisting with the design of evaluation plans and managing evaluation tools, to collecting and analyzing data, this person takes the lead on providing evidence-based information for key decision makers. The Evaluation Manager tracks and communicates on program goals and consultants in program improvement. The Evaluation Manager assists with stakeholder reports and keeps output and outcome dashboards up to date. This person also serves as the point of contact with third party evaluators.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

● Design (or update) evaluation plans for each program and organization as a whole

● Develop theory of change models outlining inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and impact

● Identify research that connects outcomes with impact

● Expand upon the system for evaluating the impact for volunteers

● Work with data-base manager on functionality of evaluation systems

● Work with grant writer and development team on evaluation and reporting requirements and timelines

● Write reports and keep dashboards current

● Create surveys, questionnaires, and interviews aligned with data collection

● Compile data from various internal sources to meet reporting requirements and relay a cohesive, concise story of Literacy Connects’ programmatic and organizational impact

● Use qualitative and quantitative methods to collect, analyze, and report on outcomes and impacts

● Provide technical assistance and training in data collection and evaluation

● Stay up to date on programs through communications, observations, and practice

● Work with teams to make data-informed recommendations for fidelity and program improvements

● Work with outside contacted evaluators

● Ensure ethical standards for evaluation of people and programs are being met

● All other duties assigned by Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS

● Bachelor’s Degree or higher in associated field

● At least three years of experience working with evaluation

● Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines

● Experience in evaluation design and management

● Experience with collections and analysis of data sets

● Data-base management

o Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Clear Impact is a plus

● Proficient with technology

● Clear understanding of various types of evaluation methods

● Strong critical thinking skills

● Comfort communicating and collaborating with diverse groups

● Ability to center social justice and apply a strengths-based, equity lens in written and oral communication

● Excellent time management

● Highly organized

● Ability to write clear and concise reports

● Cross-cultural competency

● Strong ethical standards

● Adaptability

Compensation

Literacy Connects offers a salary range of $45,000 - $55,000 annually based on education, experience, and ASU Lodestar Non-Profit Salary Guidelines, and a competitive benefits package.

Hours: Literacy Connects is open 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday. Some remote work is available.
