Targeting Planner, Target System Analyst

Job description
Provide system support in development of necessary Target System Analysis (TSA), identify vulnerability studies and analysis requirements, make recommendations based on target research, and long-term planning objectives; coordinate with other agencies.
- Provide support and services prior to and during the pre-ATO planning cycle to nominate targets to the Target Nomination List (TNL) based on objectives, guidance, selection, and prioritize targets for the Joint Integrated Prioritized Target List (JIPTL).
- Provide support and service to 9AF (AFCENT) at various command level working groups and conferences. Collaborate with analysts throughout the intelligence community on various issues and topics related to USCENTCOM and 9AF (AFCENT) AOR. The individual will also manage Appendix 4 to Annex B when developing or reviewing planning products.
- Conduct Collateral Damage Estimates, as required.
- Support contingency planning for operations in the 9AF (AFCENT) AOR.
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree or six (6) years’ USAF experience
- 10 years’ Air Force intelligence targeting experience
- In-depth experience working in an Air Operation Center (AOC) and prior deployments to the USCENTCOM Theater of operations desired
- Thorough understanding of the Target Development processes and standard operating procedures at the Combatant Command and Component levels, specifically USCENTCOM and 9AF (AFCENT)
- Know the various ways to discover valid military targets, develop a target from cradle to grave in Electronic Target Folders (ETF) to the advanced level
- Know the various target list types and who is responsible for the construction and maintenance of each list
- Applied understanding of the target vetting and validation process as well as facility review and revalidation requirements
- Understand the Targeting Cycle, ATO process, and the Master Air Attack Plan process
Preferred:
- In-depth knowledge of Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB), National Production Workshop (NPW), Digital Image Exploitation Engine (DIEE), and other targeting tools, along with an understanding of emerging systems capabilities and data bases as they relate to target development. Currency in collateral damage estimate (CDE) certification and working knowledge of the integrated munitions effects assessment (IMEA)
