OVERALL FUNCTION:

This person will perform a wide variety of functions for the Collateral Department.  In addition, this person will be responsible for the organization of the loan collateral vault and the integrity of the documents housed there.

Qualifications
This person should have a high school diploma plus one year of post high school education and a minimum of two years of previous bank experience or the equivalent. Strict adherence to details is required. A good knowledge of bank lending products is desired. This person must have good communication skills with a professional demeanor and a willingness to work with all company personnel.  

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES ARE TO:

  1. Maintain and organize the Loan Collateral Vault where all collateral documentation is housed.
  1. Assist with perfecting bank collateral documentation according to loan policy. Utilization of 3 rd party vendors, or e-recording when applicable. 
  1. Process collateral continuations for mortgages and UCC, under the direction of the Collateral Perfection Administrator.
  1. As customer relationships and/or loans payoff, work with other Collateral staff to be sure the collateral is terminated/satisfied. This would include removal of documentation from the collateral vault and storing according to record retention requirement.
  1. Provide necessary clerical support to the Collateral Perfection Administrator. This includes, but is not limited to, retrieving and filing collateral records, and mailing letters and terminated documentation to customers.
  1. Act as a backup to other Loan Servicing staff.
  1. Work on various projects assigned by the Loan Servicing Manager.
  1. Act in accordance with FBT policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
  1. Adhere to compliance policies and procedures as set forth in the employee handbook.
