Job description

We are on the lookout for a seasoned HR Manager to lead our Human Resources department. This is a pivotal role where you'll ensure our commitment to upholding Federal and local labor regulations nationwide, with a special focus on the Service Contracts and Davis Bacon Acts. If managing a substantial bi-weekly payroll and fostering a compliant, positive work environment sounds like your cup of tea, we're eager to hear from you.

Your Role:

As our HR Manager, you'll be the go-to expert on the Service Contracts Act (SCA) and other pivotal labor laws. Here's a glimpse of what you'll do:

Compliance Mastery: Lead the charge in aligning our HR policies, procedures, and practices with SCA and labor law requirements, guaranteeing our compliance at all times.

Stay Ahead: Keep abreast of federal, state, and local labor regulations, working closely with legal counsel to adapt to changing labor laws affecting our operations.

Payroll Leadership: Manage a significant bi-weekly payroll, ensuring every detail is accurate, timely, and in line with legal and contractual mandates.

Build Relationships: Cultivate positive employee relations and serve as a trusted advisor for all HR-related queries, including conflict resolution and disciplinary matters.

Talent Strategy: Partner with operations to recruit and retain top talent for our projects, championing EEO and affirmative action principles.

Learning and Growth: Identify and coordinate training needs to boost the capabilities of our HR and Operations teams, complying with training standards.

Benefits and Rewards: Manage employee benefits and compensation schemes, ensuring they meet federal standards and contractual obligations.

Insights and Analytics: Develop HR metrics to track performance indicators, providing valuable insights to the leadership team.

Policy Pioneer: Regularly refine HR policies and procedures to stay current with labor regulations and best practices, ensuring organizational clarity and consistency.

What We Need from You:

A solid grasp of labor regulations across the board, with a knack for applying this knowledge practically.

Expertise in managing complex payroll systems and processes.

A well-rounded HR skill set, including talent acquisition, performance management, and benefits administration.

The ability to handle sensitive issues discreetly, professionally, and equitably.

Strong analytical skills, ready to tackle HR-related challenges and devise effective strategies.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships internally and externally.

A detail-oriented and organized approach, capable of juggling multiple priorities in a dynamic setting.

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields. HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) are a plus.

Experience in HR within federal contracting environments would be highly beneficial.
