Family Medicine, Seeking FM NP - Occupational Medicine & Convenience Care - Ohio

Job description

This Mercy Health employed position will incorporate the skills and knowledge from disciplines of nursing and medicine. The Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner will provide services for employees and family members ages 2+ at the Airstream Onsite Health Center.

Essential Functions :

• Demonstrates knowledge of techniques, procedures, use of equipment, and departmental policies necessary for job performance
• Promote health, safety, and regulatory compliance under clinical supervision of the Occupational Health & Safety Manager
• Assists in performing new hire/pre-employment physicals
• Schedules annual physicals, sick visits, and other Occupational Health & Safety-related activities as appropriate
• Participates in employee "wellness" or other prevention programs
• Maintains required records and reports statistics
• Triages employees with episodic illnesses and/or occupational injuries and reports information to the Nurse Practitioner
• EPIC & SYSTOC
• Experience with Worker’s Compensation preferred
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Other duties as assigned
• Education:
  • Master’s Degree – Family Nurse Practitioner
  • Licensure/Certification: CNP - Nurse Practitioner in Ohio
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
