Description:

The Maintenance Tech is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient production of products by troubleshooting and repairing equipment failures. Perform preventative maintenance procedures to ensure equipment reliability and train team members on technical processes.

• Supports the production team as the mechanical expert
• Ensures production and support equipment are functioning properly
• Performs preventative maintenance procedures
• Troubleshooting issues with machinery and equipment, diagnosing problems, and fixing breakdowns as quickly as possible
• Makes replacements, repairs, and adjustments to equipment as needed
• Performs basic electrical duties (replace motors, switches, PE, etc.)
• Performs package change over on lines as required
• Support supervisors and engineers in ensuring the equipment is running quality parts
• Completes job responsibilities in compliance with industry safety, cleanliness, and quality standards
• Supports the team on all aspects of the operation
• Trains team members on mechanical process
• Focuses on continuous improvement
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment in accordance with ISO Good Manufacturing Practices standards
• Change production settings of computer to different speeds, temperature, heights, placements and things specific to each product

Job will be industrial maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing issues with manufacturing machines and equipment, as well as preventative maintenance.

Ensure the proper and efficient operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative and reactive maintenance on motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, clamps, bearings, bushings, gear boxes, conveyors, and production machines.

Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues with machines and fixing breakdowns. Using measuring and testing instruments to ensure that things are within specification. Determining changes needed and adjusting parts and parameters in machines. Using hand and power tools. Ability to perform scheduled maintenance to avoid reactive maintenance. Use lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.

Must-Have Skills:

• At least 3 years with some sort of industrial maintenance job title
• Preventative and reactive maintenance
• Mechanical and SOME electrical maintenance
• Part repair and replacement
• Hand and power tools
• Reading blueprints and schematics

Other Top Preferred Skills

• PLC troubleshooting - Siemens, Allen Bradley, ladder logic, programming
• Robotics troubleshooting - Fanuc, ABB, Motoman, Kuka, servo motors, teach pendants, programming, rehoming and recalibrating robotic arms
• Injection or especially blow molding experience
• Food and beverage production
• Experience with centrifugal and CIP pumps
• Welding
• Electrical maintenance
