Summary: The Registered Dental Hygienist supports dental care by assisting with hygiene patients and virtual care.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.  

• Performs all functions as permitted by the Dental Board of California for a Registered Dental Hygienist  

• Performs ancillary functions of dental assisting, as needed, including but not limited to:  

- Assists the doctor in procedures as needed  

- Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays  

- Prophy’s teeth  

- Instructs patients on oral hygiene  

- Charts cavities and teeth with the doctor  

- Sterilizes instruments

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has supervisory duties over other Back Office employees on days the office is performing “ Teledentistry ” services.   

Education and/or Experience:   

• Certification for a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR e quivalent combination of education and experience, preferred  

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:   

• Active Dental Hygiene License  
• Current BLS certification
