Job description
Miriam Hospital, a teaching hospital of The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, and affiliated partner of the Lifespan Physician Group, has an opening for a clinically sound hospitalists to join our academic team. This position affords the opportunity to interact with and teach medical students and residents. A 2024 start date is required.
About the job: - Faculty appointment to the Alpert Medical School of Brown University
- EMR is EPIC
- 14 shifts in a 28-day period for non-teaching service, 7/7
- Monday to Friday for 4 weeks on teaching rotation, no weekends.
- Aggregate total of approximately 168 per year
- Full time position
- Vacation offered in addition to week on/week off system
- No ICU Coverage
- 20%-30% night coverage required
- Must be comfortable teaching and running codes
- Patient load average 14, maximum 17 for a 12-hour day shift
- MDs on Back-up rotation cover teaching teams on weekends and non-teaching patients on assigned days when patient load per MD exceeds 16/17
- PSLF and NHSC eligible
