Partner Engagement Coordinator - Statewide

Job description
Primary Job Objective: Seek, foster, and strengthen relationships with organizations and agencies throughout the state of South Carolina
** CANDIDATE MUST RESIDE IN THE MIDLANDS REGION OF SOUTH CAROLINA **
Organizational Relationships: Works in the Engagement Department and reports to the Director of Engagement
Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:
- Become a trained SC Thrive counselor in aspects of Thrive Hub - our online application completion system - such as Benefits, Taxes and Case Management
- Utilize Monday.com, Charity Tracker, and Eventbrite to perform essential job duties
- Perform client intake interviews and complete applications and tax assistance in Thrive Hub as needed
- Facilitate trainings in person and/or virtually, such as Benefits, Self-Care, Long Term Care, and Financial Literacy with partners and agencies
- Recruit and establish new SC Thrive partnerships through emails, calls, and meetings
- Write Proposals of Service for partner prospects, Contracts and Business Associate Agreements, and navigate prospective sites through the contract process
- Verify partner prospects as in good standing with the SC Secretary of State
- Complete assigned reports as instructed
- Conduct site visits and site assessments both in person and via Microsoft Teams/Zoom
- Be strategic on event attendance and travel
- Assist the Impact Team with site support as needed
- Participate in committees, work groups, task forces and coalitions
- Encourage sites to support each other and refer to other sites when unable to help clients
- Initiate collaborative opportunities and facilitate meetings
- Continue facilitating growing partnerships though continued contact and coalition building
- Establish and maintain partnerships/collaborations with DHHS and DSS divisions, United Ways, businesses, child-care facilities, libraries, Community Benefit Organizations (CBOs), nonprofit organizations, technical colleges and universities, K-12, food banks, media, homeless coalitions, faith-based organizations, legislators, and city and county councils
- Conduct SC Thrive presentations, Thrive Hub Demonstrations, and fulfill speaking engagements
- Attend and present at conferences, meetings, and trainings, as needed
- Other duties, as requested
Performance Qualifications
- Education
- Bachelor's Degree or higher or commensurate experience
- Job Experience/Skills/Certifications
- Experience in or displays comprehension of federal and state programs and benefits
- Demonstrated desire and ability to work with people from various socioeconomic backgrounds
- Excellent communicator and writer with experience as a spokesperson
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem solver
- Excellent organizational skills
- Consistently displays proficient technological aptitude; proficient technical experience with laptops, wireless cards, projectors, webinars, USB ports and flash drives, data entry, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Calendar, and internet navigation
- Travel Requirements: Must have a valid driver's license, required insurance, reliable transportation and ability to travel to work sites in and outside of South Carolina
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, late evenings and weekends (including multiple overnight and extended hours January to mid-April for tax season)
- Strong negotiation skills
- Adjusts quickly to changing priorities and copes effectively with complexity
