Region Signal, Electrical, and ITS Maintenance Superintendent (WMS3)
Lacey, WA – Olympic Region
$8,140 – $10,442 Monthly
Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) is currently seeking a Region Signal, Electrical, and ITS Maintenance Superintendent to provide region-wide leadership and supervision of the operation, preservation, and maintenance of all electrical/electronic systems and equipment within the Olympic Region. This position directs and supervises the Signal Operations unit to ensure maximum efficiency of traffic signal systems throughout the region; the Electrical Inspection program to ensure compliance with ongoing contract work, national, state, and local statues; and the utility locate program as required by state statute. This position will coordinate, assist, and work closely with numerous city, county, and state agencies to maintain efficient traffic flow and adequate facilities within the state right-of-way.; and will partner with statewide groups to develop and implement the training program for electrical/electronic maintenance employees. They will perform work at a high level of discretion and independent judgment and are accountable for schedule, budget, and quality of work, safety, and stewardship of work unit employees. The primary function for the work unit is to provide a safe and efficient highway system for the traveling public. Well-maintained and efficient electrical/electronic systems, including traffic signal systems, are in direct alignment with WSDOT’s mission.
