Overview:

Headquarters, Air Combat Command (ACC), Directorate of Plans, Programs, and Requirements Command and Control (C2) Weapons Systems (A5Y) at Langley Air Force Base, VA serves as the single focal point for modernizing and sustaining command and control (C2) weapon systems and mission support planning systems for ACC. A5Y provides "cradle to grave" sustainment, maintenance, and logistics decisions across the lifecycle of C2ISR systems. A5Y's mission is to provide on-scene tactical battle management, command & control (BMC2), wide-area surveillance and mission planning capabilities to Air Force operators.

Job Summary:

Provide functional support to the Homeland defense mission area which provides management and control of air, space, and cyberspace forces and real-time surveillance of the battlespace.

Requirements:

• Active Secret security clearance is required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a technical or business discipline
• Seven (7) years' experience on USAF MAJCOM or higher-level staff (combination of activeduty, Government service, or Contractor)
• Seven (7) years' operational experience in the HLD C2 mission area

Essential Duties:

• Provide senior level representative responsible for overall project analysis and an in-depth understanding of the JCIDS process; all relevant functional areas; the Homeland Defense mission area; DoD staff work/processes; and regulations guiding JCIDS document development and coordination
• Develop and manage integrated product work schedules; recommend needed expertise to effectively accomplish a required effort to include studies; facilitate, track, and manage performance of study team members; monitor progress and provide timely updates on status of assigned projects; and project cost/schedule impact.
• Utilize an in-depth understanding of the overall JCIDS process to effectively identify and coordinate required resources to maintain established schedules and baselines, as well as develop "get-well" strategies as required.
• Utilize expertise with PPBE to support functions such as POM builds and to advise Government on programmatic issues
• Stay abreast of all relevant information and guidance impacting JCID related studies, POMs, associated documents, coordination requirements, etc.

Knowledge, Skill and Abilities:

• Seven (7) years' experience developing, coordinating, publishing, and briefing JCIDS documents
• Requirements Management Certified Training Level B, IAW AFI 10-601 (or equivalent)
