Automotive Salesperson Responsibilities
- Greet & assist guests whether they're visiting for sales, service or parts
- Assist the customers to find a vehicle that meets their needs with available inventory or place custom order (new vehicles)
- Enhance the sales process by demonstrating the vehicles features & benefits in person or virtually
- Follow up with unsold prospects by calling, texting, emailing and/or using social media
- Must be diligent with using the CRM and other company tools to maximize opportunities
- Assist customers in the completion of their sales applications
- Assist management to increase sales by inspecting vehicles daily, reporting any inventory problems
- Assist management in ensuring the lot is merchandised correctly to maximize sales
- Assist w/ fueling & cleaning vehicles as needed
- Attitude is everything
Automotive Salesperson Qualifications
- Previous sales experience
- Enthusiastic with high energy throughout the sales workday
- Outgoing and friendly, especially while handling objections
- Quality customer service skills and sales track record
- Strong interpersonal and communications, in-person and over the phone
- Persuasive and able to overcome customer objections during the sales process
- Proficient in basic business math including percentages
- Capable of learning and using web based CRM, prospecting tools, social media, etc.
- Persistent, competitive and good work ethic
- Focuses on the customer’s needs to enhance dealership and personal sales
