The Governance team partners closely with a variety of teams, including the Product Management and Data Tech Engineering functions of the Disney Entertainment organization, Privacy, Corporate, Antitrust, and other legal teams, Global Information Security, and industry groups to ensure trustworthy, secure, consistent, and compliant data systems. This team creates strategies and develops solutions designed to ensure data that is trustworthy, secure and compliant with internal and legal standards and that consumer data is protected in accordance with domestic, international laws. In addition, this team manages enterprise-level consumer facing privacy services as well as all data system governance operations.
Job Summary
The Senior Product Operations Manager II role within the Data Governance Privacy & Compliance space is responsible for establishing and maintaining processes to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the team. This role will ensure that teams are aligned on requirements and timelines to drive privacy solutions, maintain data governance products, and support compliance across teams.
Responsibilities
Defines and develops holistic requirements for a product domain in support of Data Governance, Privacy, & Compliance in the data and application spaces.
Develop detailed measurement dashboard specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and success measures.
Provides deeply researched answers to their stakeholders’ biggest questions, in the formats their audience likes to consume in the data governance, privacy, security spaces.
Design new processes or enhancements via identification of inefficiencies by accurately stating the problem and proposing solutions that involve multiple teams.
Articulates process improvement opportunities and assesses pros/cons of change to the working team leaders at multiple levels. Examples include: law enforcement request fulfillment, ITCP list maintenance, user access reviews, access requests, data sharing approval.
Translate needs into product requirements that can be implemented by the Data Governance team via third party (Alation, Immuta, BigID, Jira, etc.), or custom tooling.
Define KPIs and metrics to be tracked for Data Governance Privacy & Compliance. Aligns product KPIs to business goals, ensuring product improvements drive business outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of product operations or relevant experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or relevant work experience required.
Experience involving Data Governance related processes or functions as well as data platform, application and/or analytics development
Experienced in “Data” project managements using Agile, Iterative and/or Waterfall SDLC Methodologies.
Experienced in extracting and documenting data and analytics requirements, working across all levels of users across engineering, product, program management, data technology, analytics, and marketing.
Demonstrated ability to manage large programs with multiple projects prioritization, planning and task delegation. Drive project timeline and manage backlog and product feature prioritization.
Proven experience in managing complex technical projects with complexity across stakeholders, multifunctional teams, requirements, and implementations.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the Media & Entertainment Industry.
Experience supporting the Data Governance domain.

The hiring range for this position in Los Angeles, CA & Bristol, CT is $136,100 to $182,400 per year, in New York, NY & Seattle, WA is $142,600 to $191,100 per year, and in San Francisco, CA is $149,000 to $199,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job tags
