Position Overview:

The Staff Electrical Engineer will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and advancement of our heat pump technology. Collaborates with internal technicians, engineers, external suppliers, and manufacturers to refine, build, and deploy a cutting-edge product. The candidate will be instrumental in product development, demo site deployment, monitoring energy efficiency, ensuring quality, timely delivery of designs, prototypes, and mass-produced components in adherence to UL and NEC standards. Goal setting, team coordination, and deadline management are integral aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
-Collaborate with the team to design, build, test prototype electronics, motor designs and development (Servo/DC/Induction/Brushless), and transitioning these designs seamlessly to mass production.
-Employ software tools like MATLAB/Simulink and C/C++ for testing, coding, and troubleshooting electronic test equipment.
-Engage with other departments to devise tailored solutions for electrical wiring and control systems with adherence to UL and NEC standards.
-Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of test cell electronics, guaranteeing precise data acquisition and analysis.
-Ensure accurate instrumentation, integrating with LabVIEW for real-time monitoring and control.
-Champion strict adherence to electrical safety standards and best practices within the test cell and other operational areas.
-Conduct field visits for machine setup, troubleshooting, and technical support, ensuring optimal performance and client satisfaction.
-Coordinate with field personnel and clients to swiftly and effectively identify and resolve electrical and system issues.
-Maintains documentation of electrical designs, software code, and system configurations for future reference and compliance.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required, Master’s degree preferred.

Proficiency in electronics design software (e.g., OrCAD, Altium) and programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Python).
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience with various motor types, electronics hardware and software development, preferably within new product development, HVAC or related industries.
Hands-on experience with LabVIEW and data acquisition systems.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across various departments.
Willingness and ability to travel to field sites as needed (10%). A solid understanding of HVAC systems, UL, and NEC standards is a plus.
