Position Summary

West Chester University’s Division of Student Affairs invites applications for the position of Area Coordinator (AC) for Residence Life and Housing. This full-time temporary appointment is for at least thirteen (13) months which include benefits and residential on-campus housing.

The Residence Life and Housing team is committed to developing a caring, vibrant, student-centered residential experience.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Residence Education, the Area Coordinator (AC) promotes learning and development for as many as 2,500 students living in on-campus residence halls and apartments; maintains the daily operation for three to five residence facilities; and supervises graduate and undergraduate student staff. This position resides on campus. 

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills; a genuine commitment to student success; and experience working with a diverse college student population.

Salary and benefits are dictated by the State College and University Professional Association (SCUPA) Collective Bargaining Agreement.
