Overview

GovCIO is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) analyst to support an existing contract for the Department of Veterans. The FP&A analyst will need strong organizational and program financial analytical skills as the program’s financial tracking and forecasting activities support a large, dynamic contract with multiple workstreams. The environment is fast-paced and client needs are often evolving; flexibility and forward-thinking views are important for success. This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

+ Perform semi-monthly, monthly, yearly, and ad-hoc FP&A functions for the assigned program

+ Run reports and gather labor hour data and work with the program manager(s) to ensure correct cost allocations to the various projects

+ Track and summarize project and task costs and perform variance and trend analysis

+ Analyze burn rates, projected expenses, fund run-out dates, and work share percentages

+ Inputting to CostPoint Purchase Requests for program expenditures and managing procurement tracking.

+ Participate with other FP&A & Accounting teams on monthly “close” activities

+ Track Other Direct Costs (ODCs) such as travel expenses against planned budgets and reporting on variances

+ Prepare the financial inputs to Program Management Reports ( PMR )

+ Predict and track actual indirect labor costs and analyze irregularities

+ Coordinate with accounting groups to process corrections

+ Provide inputs to project accounting to set-up new projects and resources

+ Review and verify subcontractor invoices

+ Review and verify labor invoices for clients

+ Provide salary and contractor rate recommendations based on current labor rates and expected profitability

+ Review contract modifications for accuracy

+ Provide analysis and updates to the client both verbally in meetings and in writing, as needed and requested

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

+ Education Requirements:? Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or related field (or commensurate experience)

+ Years of Experienced Required:? 8 plus years

+ Experience performing budgeting and forecasting

+ Experience with Federal Government project financial management /project control

+ Experience presenting financial analysis and summaries in an easily digestible manner to program managers, executives and clients

+ Experience developing and improving financial processes and working with other groups, such as accounting and operations

+ Advanced to Expert-level Excel Skills (vlookups, network days, sumif, pivot tables, Power Query and Power BI a plus)?

Preferred Skills and Experience

+ Experience with TM1 and Costpoint/Cognos Reports a plus

+ Experience working in remote environments

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $120,000.00 – USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
