Job Description:
The Global Legal, Policy and Compliance department within the Disney Legal and Government Affairs (LGA) organization has responsibility for charting the company’s strategic vision with respect to emerging global issues, such as consumer privacy, Internet governance, and emerging markets. One of the core functions of the department is overseeing compliance with legal requirements and corporate policy related to the collection and governance of personal information from customers and employees. In particular, the privacy group within the Global Legal Policy and Compliance department has been tasked with maintaining the enterprise-wide privacy compliance function, which provides the proactive audit and documentation capabilities to support the overall accountability framework.
TWDC’s commercial success depends on a direct trust relationship with our consumers, employees, and partners. This individual will be an integral part of the Privacy team with responsibility for implementing and auditing compliance with legal requirements for data collection across all mobile applications, websites, and other devices and platforms, such as wearables and set-top boxes, deployed by domestic and international business segments.
What You Will Do :
The Privacy Compliance Analyst will be responsible for supporting TWDC’s California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) enterprise-wide compliance program for the Corporate Legal Privacy team. In particular, this individual will process guest requests submitted pursuant to CCPA for access to or deletion of personal information, ensuring they are recorded and fulfilled in a timely fashion. A component of processing involves data analysis and categorization of data returned from various segments. This individual will also provide support for mobile and website compliance reviews as needed. The Privacy Compliance Analyst will be expected to understand compliance processes and standards, identify issues that need to be addressed, communicate those issues to business partners, and document resolutions to ensure compliance. Finally, the Privacy Compliance Analyst will assist leadership with projects, creation of and updates to training resources, templates and compliance materials and provide project assistance as needed to the Privacy team including identifying opportunities to improve processes.
Required Qualifications & Skills :
1-3 years of relevant work experience within corporate compliance, guest experience, or web QA
Strong written and oral communication skills – particularly within large organizations
Proven experience in successfully navigating complex organizations with excellent internal and external partner management skills
Experience managing multiple projects in various phases of development and prioritizing diverse workloads on a daily basis
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multi-task while maintaining focus and attention to detail
Self-motivated, results driven
Experience reading and interpreting complicated documents
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (both in designing/creating documents, databases, and spreadsheets)
Passion for understanding and serving the unique Disney community
Required Education:
Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent work experience
