Job description: As a Technical Specialist at CK Specialty Insurance Associates, you will play a pivotal role within the CK team, providing crucial support to Underwriting, Middle Office, and operations personnel. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of underwriting support activities, including the efficient processing of new and renewal submissions, managing the internal submission mailbox, and collaborating with various stakeholders such as Underwriters, Underwriting Assistants, Brokers, and others within our CK Specialty global network.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
Submission Clearance Processing and Oversight:
- Timely and accurate processing of new and renewal submissions
- Management of the internal submission mailbox
- Collaboration with Underwriting, Middle Office, and Shared Services for inquiries
- Prepare the files for renewal underwriting
- Logging bind orders
- Producer Agreements Management
- Handling of account status updates and routine review of account information
- Assisting with the maintenance of process and training manuals, along with reference documentation
- Quality Control of work performed by Shared Services staff
- Conducting new and refresher training for Middle Office and Shared Services staff
- Quality control of draft policies before releasing the final version to brokers/clients
- You will report to the Technical Specialist Team Lead.
Qualifications
- College degree preferred but not required. HS Diploma or experience/education equivalent; preferably with at least one year of insurance experience
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations
- Strong analytical and organizational/desk management skills
- Strong ability to multi-task - This role will require you to pivot from task to task sometimes with short notice
- Client service experience and focus, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong competency in MS Office applications: MS Outlook, MS Word, and Excel are required
Technology and logistical requirements:
- Private work space, home office
- Minimum Internet connection speed of 50 Mbps (100 Mbps or more preferred)
- Be able to work aligned with Pacific time zone
