Job description
Develops solution to a variety of complex and unusual problems that require independent judgment and ingenuity to modify procedures standards related to managing engineering projects in the areas of design or technology. Analyzes project objectives and requirements to determine feasibility, reducibility, cost, and production time. Discusses technical issues of the project with customer representatives, engineers, and other personnel. Ensures engineering specifications, drawings and other technical documents are produced to standard engineering practices and regulatory requirements. Evaluates and approves design changes and drawing releases. Assigns project personnel to specific aspects or phases of project such as analysis, development, or design. Creates and maintains budget and schedule tracking metrics and reports progress to Engineering management. Bachelor degree in an appropriate discipline and five (5) or more years related experience and/or training. Experience with CATIA V5 required. Knowledge of CFR 14 Part 33 requirements and turbo-fan engine components would be an advantage. US citizenship or permanent residency required.
