Description

A company of ours in the Wilmington, DE area is seeking a Payroll Specialist with exposure to both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, while also contributing to the efficient management of our AP and AR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process payroll accurately and on time for our employees, including calculation of salaries, wages, deductions, and withholdings.

+ Maintain and update payroll records and employee information.

+ Handle payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.

+ Ensure compliance with payroll laws and regulations.

+ Collaborate with HR to address payroll-related matters.

+ Assist in the review and processing of invoices and expense reports.

+ Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely payments.

+ Maintain organized records of AP transactions.

+ Assist in reconciling vendor statements and addressing vendor inquiries.

+ Support month-end and year-end AP closing processes.

+ Assist in the generation of customer invoices and statements.

+ Process customer payments and apply them accurately to customer accounts.

+ Investigate and resolve discrepancies and disputes with customers.

+ Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.

+ Assist in the month-end and year-end AR closing processes.

Requirements

The ideal Payroll Specialist will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Other requirements for the Payroll Specialist role include and are not limited to:

2+ years proven payroll experience

Knowledge of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Proficiency in Microsoft Office with focus on Microsoft Word and Excel
