PROGRAM DIRECTOR
FULL-TIME/EXEMPT
SALARY RANGE: $65,000-$75,000

Program Director oversee multiple programs and reports directly to the Executive Director. Program Director is a key leader contributing to organization's growth and long-term development with a focus on service delivery, program monitoring, and culture.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Director works closely with the Program management team to ensure our services we deliver are effective and well-coordinated. Program Director is a member of the agency leadership team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise program staff, interns and volunteers including training, coaching, and mentoring to all the supervised staff.
- Ensure that site staff understand and effectively communicate standards of program.
- Facilitate access to services, through the development of staff capacity to understand and demonstrate principles of welcoming, client-centered, culturally competent care that is responsive to the needs of disenfranchised and marginalized communities.
- Collect and track appropriate data in compliance to internal agency policies and procedures.
- Analyze data, interpret information, and present ideas effectively both orally and in writing.
- Manage and execute various programs and activities such as CoveredCA and MediCal enrollment, language access, VITA Free Tax Prep, Utility assistance, etc.
- Participate in strategic planning for the ongoing development of services.
- Oversee the development of a quality assurance plans within the programs.
- Partner with Finance and HR team to ensure timekeeping information and time-off requests are accurately recorded and manage documentation and processing of Leave of Absence.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with federal, state, and local public entities and community-based organizations to educate the community about the needs of the disenfranchised communities.
- Perform tasks and responsibilities in a complete and timely manner, complying with agency policies and standards and conforming to the scheduling requirements of this job description and program.
- Maintain a creative, team-building, cooperative approach to job performance and seek to bring a constructive, problem-solving orientation to all tasks.
- Execute agency's mission and work to promote the positive individual and social change.
- Exercise discretion and professional judgment at all times keeping with the responsibilities carried personally and by the agency for the care and welfare of the youth we serve.
- Actively participate in agency leadership meetings, projects, and activities to ensure that information is shared across assigned programs and needs/concerns of assigned programs are communicated to appropriate agency staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least 2 years of leadership and program management experience in a fast-paced and growth-oriented environment.
- Experience in community development or community support services required.
- Experience working in collaboration with other community and government stakeholders.
- Ability to perform each project task seamlessly, often switching between high-level strategy and helping with supporting tasks as needed to promote your team's success.
- Ability to reason logically and creatively and utilize a variety of analytical techniques to resolve complex problems.
- Excellent written and verbal skills, including public speaking.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
- Bilingual/bicultural skills preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to adjust language register to suit audience of different English proficiency, system knowledge, and age
REASONING ABILITY:
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or scheduled form.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
- Ability to perform using Internet software, Microsoft Office Suite, eSignature tools, databases, remote collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of basic office equipment should include computer, copy and fax machines, telephone and smartphone.
CERTIFICATE, LICENSE, REGISTRATION:
- Valid California Driver's License, proof of automobile insurance, and safe driving record required.
