Job description
Business Analyst with Banking Domain Exp.
Location: New Castle, DE (Hybrid)
Contract: 6+ Months
MUST HAVE:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. (Master's degree or MBA preferred)
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services industry.
Solid understanding of banking products and services, including retail banking, commercial banking, lending, deposits, payments, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough analysis of banking business processes, systems, and data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Translate business requirements into clear and actionable project plans, including scope, timeline, and resource requirements.
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT developers, testers, and business users, to ensure successful project delivery.
Lead and facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and resolve issues.
Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of banking initiatives.
Stay informed about banking industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive landscape to inform decision-making and drive innovation.
Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to stakeholders on banking products, processes, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related field. (Master's degree or MBA preferred)
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the banking or financial services industry.
Solid understanding of banking products and services, including retail banking, commercial banking, lending, deposits, payments, and regulatory compliance.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and draw actionable insights.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project).
Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., Dodd-Frank, Basel III, KYC/AML) is a plus.
Certifications such as Certified Banking Business Analyst (CBBA) or Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) are desirable.
