We are looking for a highly motivated Account Manager. The Account Manager will be r esponsible for attracting new customers, client networking and job solicitation. This position creates positive community relationships, builds, and nurtures relationships with potential clients and creates strong networks with current and potential business partners, all in coordination with the Company's mission, brand, vision, and code of conduct/ethical business practices, and in alignment with all Company policies, procedures, key objectives, and regulations.
You must have experience building new client relationships and expanding market opportunities across the United States. You should have a proven sales track record as well as an ability to consistently build trust with customers and colleagues alike.
Day in the life
- Partners with senior management and other Company marketing, operations, and business development personnel to understand key objectives, strategies, priorities, and client relationship work.
- Creates and maintains quality marketing materials, such as presentations, newsletters, photos, images, digital campaign information and letters.
- Creates and assembles proposals, Request for Quotes (RFQs), Request for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposals (RFPs) and interview presentations.
- Researches, develops, and establishes initial contact with potential clients for early lead identification of new project opportunities. Qualifies targeted opportunities that lead to project awards.
- Establishes and cultivates relationships with potential clients through digital presence, cold calls, meetings, and continued follow-up. Maintains client, partner, and vendor contact information.
- Monitors and measures prospect and proposal activities, including monthly sales revenue and budgets. Manages the vendor sourcing process.
- Identifies, plans, manages, coordinates, and attends all trade shows, conferences, workshops, and other networking events. Collaborates with other business leaders and business development team members to develop and implement strategies for successful social media presence.
- Consistently makes decisions in an attentive and safe manner to ensure the safety and health of self and others.
- Utilizes LEAN concepts or other continuous improvement methodologies to ensure the most efficient operations, processes, and activities.
- Promotes and models the Company mission, vision and values through exercising sound and ethical business practices, championing all elements of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and providing high quality services and programs as they relate to clients, subcontractors, co-workers, suppliers, and the public.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in business administration, marketing, construction management or a related field.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience with account management, marketing and/or sales, preferably in facility services business development and growth strategy and solutions, pricing, organizational design, and client relationship building and networking.
- Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management System software. Familiarity with business intelligence tools (i.e., SalesForce and PowerBI). Broad experience with other software and financial systems is desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business strategies, client needs, and RFP documents.
- Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Ability to problem-solve, both independently and working as a team.
- Strong listening, presentation, negotiation, conflict management and persuasion skills, and the ability to influence potential customers and employees at all levels.
- Exceptional business development, relationship building and client communication skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including high quality documentation and report preparation. Experience and skills to work closely with proprietary information and maintain confidentiality.
- Excellent collaboration, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills. Effective independent organizational, problem solving, prioritizing and time management skills.
- Demonstrated strong analytical and mathematical skills. Strong financial acumen, critical thinking skills and process and detail orientation.
