Family Finding Specialist
Positive Impacts is a recruiting and professional staffing agency that provides staffing services to social service and behavioral health agencies. Currently there is an opening for a Family Finding Specialist. This position will connect foster children/youth to biological families with the hope of placement of the child/youth with a family member. The secondary goal is to establish one or more life-long-connections with identified relatives.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in social services area such as social work or psychology. Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, can define problems and challenges, collect data and draw valid conclusions, be knowledgeable about Internet Search Engines, and have experience with the child welfare and/or justice system. Knowledge and skills for this position include the ability to be flexible and adapt to changing needs, exercise discretion and sound judgement, disseminate information clearly and concisely and communicate professionally with coworkers, customers, donors and vendors. The ideal candidate will work at Family Forward Kingshighway office.
