The Department of Emergency Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine in New Haven, CT is seeking faculty at the Assistant Professor, Clinician-Scientist track interested in joining our Department. We are seeking applicants with a strong interest in research, education and clinical to work within our four campuses that care for nearly 200,000 patient visits every year.

For faculty interested in research we offer a well-established track record of interdisciplinary collaboration with other renowned faculty, obtaining federal and private foundation funding, and a mature research infrastructure. For those seeking educational leadership opportunities, we are home to a four-year EM residency of 69 residents caring for patients across three sites, a PA residency program, a world-class medical-school simulation program housed in the Department of EM, and numerous fellowship programs.  Clinical opportunities include a range of acuity from our primary academic campus, a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke care center, to community and freestanding EDs as well as the opportunity to care for a range of clinical acuity from critical care to observation medicine.

Primary responsibilities will include clinical coverage to provide quality patient care, which meets the standards of practice for Emergency Medicine. Provide teaching in the clinical areas; participate in and provide educational offerings in emergency medicine, as well as, a specific area of expertise; develop independent, external research finding in their area of study, collaborate with other faculty at Yale and other institutions, in research efforts and academic projects; provide mentor ship to Yale medical students and residents in development and implementation of academic and research projects; participate in Administrative responsibilities of the Department.
