We are looking for a Light Rail Vehicle Carbody and Paint Foreman for our Camden, New Jersey facility.
This position performs light rail vehicle (LRV) body shop work, including the preparation of carbodies for application of carbody vinyl wrap installed by others, as well as the repair and paint of damaged or deteriorated LRV carbodies.

Perform related duties as required. Essential Functions1. Follow supervisors' instructions as to assigned LRV body shop work tasks, and how much time each assigned task should take. Review LRV damage reports and inspect LRVs for body or frame damage or deterioration and scope of needed repairs. Plan carbody or frame repair work to be performed.
2. Sand carbody areas to be painted, or to be covered with carbody vinyl wrap. Cover windows, trim, molding, and other parts to prepare the carbody for installation of vinyl wrapping, performed by others. 3. Remove and replace all vehicle parts and accessories necessary to complete carbody and frame repairs. 4. Fit and weld replacement parts in to place, using wrenches and welding equipment, and grind down welds to smooth them using power grinders and other tools. 5. Perform sheet metal fabricating to complete body and frame repair. 6. Prime and paint repaired surfaces, using paint spray guns and motorized sanders. 7. Repair and replace vehicle windshields, windows, interior panels, seats, seat cushions, and flooring as necessary. 8. Inspect completed work to ensure desired appearance or proper weld is achieved. 9. Accurately and thoroughly document work performed daily. 10. Maintain a clean and organized work area. 11. Use site tools, parts and supplies safely and efficiently. Follow all safety training and use all personal protective equipment (PPE) applicable to LRV body shop work tasks. 12. Perform the duties of a higher or lower classification as required, on a temporary basis.Knowledge and Experience
