Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Healthcare Billing Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a Healthcare Billing Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless and accurate medical billing processes, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare organization.

Responsibilities:

Patient-Focused Communication:

Respond promptly and empathetically to patient phone inquiries regarding their medical billing, fostering a positive patient experience.
Insurance Monitoring and Optimization:

Monitor insurance reimbursement processes to ensure compliance with contracted fee schedules.
Keep a vigilant eye on patient accounts receivable (AR) and collections to maintain financial health.
Claims Review and Correction:

Review claims for pre-submission issues, making necessary corrections for clean claims.
Analyze insurance responses on claims, addressing denials and rejections for optimal reimbursement.
AR Management:

Proactively manage and follow up on accounts receivable for assigned insurance groups, ensuring timely resolution.
Collaborative Team Player:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address billing-related challenges and contribute to a positive working environment.
Adaptability and Continuous Improvement:

Stay informed about industry changes and best practices, actively participating in ongoing training and development.
Undertake other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements:

Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience in medical billing, demonstrating a solid understanding of billing processes.
Technical Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook, with the ability to leverage these tools for effective communication and data analysis.
